MY STORY
Hi, I'm Charlotte Ho. A public relations & web media student at Curtin University. I always have had a passion for playing volleyball and communicating with each others, so I am pursuing my career in Sports media. I grew up in Hong Kong, I started playing volleyball when I'm 6. Volleyball is a sport that I can communicate a lot with people. Timeflies, I am 21 now, and I had played volleyball for 15 years. And I found out Volleyball is not only a sport in that you can enjoy happiness as a teammate but also as a coach and social media team member. I want to spread joy to people who misunderstood volleyball. I am a coach and a social media member of the APEX Volleyball Club in Perth. My qualification of coaching which help me further develop my passion for playing this sport and managing social media platforms and designing different posts. I feel so lucky I can have this kind of experience in helping a Volleyball Club to manage their social media platforms as a player, I can use my knowledge to help people get to know volleyball and help to organise different events, competitions and scratch matches for the club.
EXPERIENCE
I have been working as a social media post designer for APEX Volleyball Club since 2022. This freelance job allowed me to have more experience in working social media-related jobs and help me to build up my future dream job in volleyball media. Apart from working in the social media team, I had to work with the marketing and communication team. As a communication student, I can use my own knowledge to help deal with some public relations-related issues such as dealing with the Q&A on social media, inbox replies as a representative of a club and helping build a good communication connection between the Club and players. Also, I am an educator in Lululemon, I love communicating with people helping out their needs and making their day. As a customer service assistant, this job is a great job of developing the skills on how to communicate with different people in a different situations.
